Audio Visual

Audio visual is the most complicated and varied form of work we do.  Often the result is very subject to opinion, and no 2 people seem to have the exact same measure of perceived quality or budget expectation.  We can build the audio visual side of a home theatre for $15k and be very impressive to one person and build a $120k system for the next person and have both believe they have the best money can buy.  The truth is that as long as we meet your price and performance expectations you do have the best.

And that is the key to our success, to deliver a system to your needs.

When the acoustics of a space are controlled and the external light is controlled, and we install some great gear, the result is always stunning.

Being asked to install a high quality audio visual system into a modern architectural space that is concrete, steel and glass, without input to the lighting and acoustics is like being asked to unreflect a mirror, it is much eaiser not to have the mirror to start with.

So our approach is to have a holistic over view of the environment we are working in and deal with fundamental space design issues right at the outset.
Often there is a compromise as shown in this picture.  The speakers are in the bulkhead, and the screen is quite high over the fire place.

As you can see in this next picture the speakers
are surface mounted on to a 160 year old fire place.
This was a major building renovation carried out
in 2008.  With 14 foot ceilings and hard rendered walls the only option was to surface mount speakers.

These rear speakers were a pedestal mount version.  The KEF speakers in this case were the right choice for the space and budget, giving a great value result.

Just when you thought, "what's next?" We are certified installers of completely unseen speakers.  These are very impressive considering there is no visible component to them.  First the back box is installed, along with the actual speaker, with the connections made;

Then the speaker is plastered in to the wall and painted over, job done.  It really is quite a trip, when you ask your guests to identify the location speakers in the room.
