This page is about information for potential clients both domestic and commercial and partners, by partners we mean architects, builders and electricians.

So the client is asking for some "high tec" lifestyle gear in their project, oh... and a home theatre, and maybe some "speakers" around the home?  Sound familiar?  This is usually how the conversation starts.  As more questions arise, the level of complication starts to sink in.... The natural process is that the project requires, the Hi Fi guys, Security, data, telephone, intercom, Foxtel and Electricians just to name a few.

So... can't we engage just one business to carry out the technical services?  Can we have just one iPad or touch screen to control all this and even the air conditioner, and heating?   Yes you can, and this is how it is done. You would engage a suitably qualified and experienced business (Zentec of course) to Consult with the client and architect, carry out the design and project budget, then work with the builder and electrician to implement the install and then commission the entire system.  Wow... ONE contractor who is RESPONSIBLE for the entire projects technical services.  Thats a big relief.... No more painfull and expensive mistakes.....

General questions:
Question/    Where is the "shop front" if you are a great integrator?

Answer/      From experience this changes the dynamic of business, and we would end up being a slave to products and volume, instead of service.  We are focused on personal results, and purchase products based on project needs, not on discounted lots of 10 so there is no pressure to move the latest shipment of gear.  We all know Architects, Builders, and Electricians don't need a show room to do great work.  In the next few years we will start to see the retailers become Etailers, and lose the shop front, we are ahead of the game already. 


Question/      So I have an exisitng installation, will Zentec come and service my installation?

Answer/       Yes, of course.  There are some facts to establish first, do you have some as yet un resolved issues with the original installer?  We will take up service only when the original installer has been signed off from the project.  Have you just become the new property owner and would like to start a service relationship for the long term?, and just need a few "tweaks" for now, and have some who you can rely on for future support?  These are the 2 usual exisitng installation circumstances we come across.  It helps a great deal, if you can get the original programming files and any other documentation, this will save you a great deal of money, in some cases as much as $2,000.


On a personal note: I was fortunate to have a mentor meeting with Utz Baldwin at CEDIA Expo in Sydney recently, and learn where the custom electronic business is headed in the next few years.  His experience and wisdom has set the path for us so we can deliver for today, tommorrow, and the future.....
