Picture below is a very difficult space with regard to Acoustics, as you can see from all the Glass Windows and Timber Floor Boards.  A typical 5.1 Sound System was out of the question, as the speakers having to be placed in the ceiling along with the hard surfaces all around them, it would simply sound like a Railway Station. What we needed was some very high quality speakers, vertically level with the listener and facing directly at the listening position, along with a high Power Amplifier (Parasound) the crisp and clear audio image could be delivered with acceptable volumes without the room acoustics interfering with the sound.

  

We did initially try a set of flush speakers in the ceiling for asthetic reasons but on listening to Diania Krall, the treble was terrible because of the hard surfaces.  So after a live demo of the PMC Cabinets the result was clear, that was the right product to meet the acoustic priorities over asthetic needs.  The cabinets are located on the right of the TV screen and higher on the left of the fire place. While placement was still not ideal the result sound wise is excellent.
